Julie Winkel Clinic

Straight out of Reno, Nevada—Julie Winkel is coming to HIPICO Santa Fe! We are proud to present one of the foremost trainers, judges, clinicians and educators in the country for YOU as part of our Learning & Practice Series. Known for her outstanding clinics, Winkel teaches throughout the country and is thrilled to be coming to New Mexico. Winkel’s clinics are highly recommended and provide extensive riding and horsemanship training, as well as invaluable auditing experiences.

Winkel’s clinic will be instructive to riders of all levels. She will offer a two-day teaching format. Julie was one of the first United States Hunter Jumper Association Certified Trainers and has trained and shown hunters and jumpers to the top levels, both nationally and internationally. She has multiple Grand Prix show jumping wins as well as hunter championships throughout her distinguished career.

Winkel has held her United States Equestrian Federation R-rated license in Hunter, Hunter Breeding and Hunter/Jumping Seat Equitation since 1984 and has presided over many of the country’s most prestigious horse shows such as Devon, the Pennsylvania National, Washington International, the National Capital Challenge, the US Pony Finals and the USEF/Sallie B. Wheeler National Hunter Breeding Championships.

Julie has also designed courses and judged the ASPCA Maclay Finals, the USEF Medal Finals (in partnership with George H. Morris) and the New England Equitation Championships.

AUDITOR

Early Bird Auditor pricing: $40/day or $70 for both days, is available until 5pm MST, Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

Auditor ticket pricing after 5pm MST, Wednesday, February 27, 2019: $45/day or $80 for both days.

Auditor tickets are non-transferable.

RIDER

Riders will be grouped together based on experience level of rider/horse combination at the discretion of HIPICO management and clinic staff. Once selected, the rider will be contacted by HIPICO on or before February 20, 2019. To hold the spot(s), the following will be required:

(1) A deposit of $300 per horse will be payable within 24 hours of notification by check or credit card.

(2) An open check or valid credit card information to guarantee the balance of clinic and meal fees.

The balance of the clinic and meal fee(s) must be paid by Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Unpaid balances after this date will be applied to the open check/credit card on file.

Each horse entered in the clinic receives 1 rider spot and 1 audit spot.

Rider cost per horse: $600

Trainers and their established clients are eligible for multi-horse pricing as are riders entering on multiple horses in the clinic.

2 horses: $570 per horse

3 or more horses: $540 per horse

•  One horse stall with 2 bags of shavings.

LUNCH

There will be a 1-hour lunch break each day. We will have an opt-in lunch options available for riders and auditors. Auditors can select their lunch options while filling out the form. Riders, once selected, will be notified and sent a confirmation form that will allow them to select their lunch options.
